A joy to ride

December 14, 2011

I bought this bike new from a local bike dealer. It is the most comfortable and stylish bike I have ever owned... and I've had a lot of bikes. I bought the 2011 model and saved a bundle over the new model which, from what I can see differs only in the color (mine is a nice Fall carmel/coffee color.) This is one solidly made bike, folks. It is the kind of quality bike that Schwinn used to be famous for. I had to laugh at a bike sales man (at another store) who said to me "We don't sell Dept. Store bikes here" when I asked him if they carry Schwinn models. Apparently he didn't know about the Signiture Series Schwinn models like the Voyageur 24 which are top of the line bikes. My "24" is a joy to ride either on city streets or country roads. The gear shifting is smooth and effortless. You ride in an upright position which affords you control and excellent vision with far less fatigue at the end of the day. The saddle is so comfy you'll think you are riding on a pillow. All in all, for the price, It is an excellent bike with an excellent warranty and is a joy to ride.
