Comments about Wayfarer:

We needed bikes for grocery shopping, outings in the neighborhood like dinner and coffee. What caught our eye was the styling, at first. Then with some research we found all the great accessories to customize our bicycles to fit our needs. To top it off the price was awesome and the bikes ( we bought two ) are a snap to maintain and are very comfy and durable. Really happy with our Schwinns but wish they were still made in the USA. (Good luck finding an affordable bike made in the US).

Pros

  • Attractive Design
  • Handles Well

Cons

  • Chrome Rusts Quickly
  • Crossbar Too High On 27~~~quot~~~

Best Uses

    Comments about Wayfarer:

Parked 2 brand new Wayfarers at a Daytona Beach Hotel for 6 days and all chrome was covered in rust. Also, I have a 29" inseam, and crossbar on my 27" men's model touches crotch when straddling, which makes stopping awkward (I have fallen twice). I have the seat at absolute lowest and cannot touch the ground w/one foot. Without these concerns, I would recommend, because I love the way the bike looks (like the Austrian one I had in 1966) and it handles fine. Would really like to know what to do about controlling the rust!
