Comments about schwinn Searcher 3 Mens:
I use it for tar road and gravel or dirt road. I do have one Con: I wish the gears were a little lower. I would want one or two lower gears. This seems not much lower than my high speed road bike, if at all lower. But I do think it is a little lower but not enough for those really steep hills.
We put a stem riser on so that the handlebars are significantly higher than the stock Searcher 3. I can sit much more comfortably with the extended riser. We also changed the seat to one of those soft, cushiony, wide "granny" seats.
I may go back to the original seat but for now I accomplished what I wanted:
1. I have a very, very comfortable bike.
2. I look forward to good cardio/pulmonary work again. I was getting tired of riding my old road bike because I was always bent over (my neck started hurting) and my flat tire rate has always been high with the smooth tires.
3. i can get off the tar road and into nature to a limited extent.
3. With my new carrier I now go to the store with my bike rather than my truck.
4. Oh, I also got a Serfas 1500 lumen headlight with it. it is very, very powerful. This thing makes you look like an approaching frieght train without the noise. I love riding at night.- Was this a gift?:
