Money well spent good bike

September 9, 2011

I believe this is a great bike to start with. I bought it online and i cant complain. It rides well and even keeps up with my friends 800 dollar bike. I personally believe that for the weight class just about 24lbs you cant ask for a better price. I read many reviews about rim tape problems but i havent had any issues at all with this bike i did play it safe and got some rim tape 13mm (perfect). I highly recomend this bike for this price like the way it rides and feels cant beat the price if you want to go pro then just go get a 6 or 7k bike but if not this bike well get the job done. Happy happy :-)

pretty ok

This is an exellent bike if your just getting into road bikes. I put tons of miles on it and it just keeps going, i think most ppl don like it bec they don know how to take care of bikes period and it gets worn down fast but i take care of it and its an amazing bike, the seat is a lil uncomfortable but all in all its amazing!

Excellent, Great, very happy

This is a great bike! I bought it from Amazon, and I have no complaints. I've been riding it everyday for 10-20 miles, and no problems.Even the seat is pretty comfortable. It came well adjusted from the factory, but if not, the manual is really good and goes through everything you need to do to get to suit your needs. I am 5.10 and it fits me perfect. Get it, you won't regret it! Ah... and it is also pretty!

Should be a zero star

May 11, 2011

I am very disappointed in the quality of this bike and the lack of service from Walmart. Now I realize why the Schwinn dealers in Atlanta don't carry the same bikes as the department stores, because they know they are crappy cheap junk. The bike wasn't assembled right and when I ask for help making it shift right the lady at Walmart told me to take it to a bike shop. I should have did more research before I bought, now it is going to cost me twice.

save your money

April 10, 2011

Save your money, don't buy this bike. It is very hard to find a set of gear that offer a smooth ride. It feels as if half of the turn of the pedal is wasted. The bike is rough, cheap (what do you expect from China), and heavy.

great entry level bike

March 31, 2011

I bought mine today. I got on it right away to try it out and I was amazed. I plan on putting a lot of miles on it. I was happy to be able to pick it up at Academy because the bike stores actr like schwinn is so old and don't want to sell them any more calling them retail bikes.

grate bike for the $

March 11, 2011

I mooved to the city and wanted a gas free way to get arround, its ben years sence Iv had a bike and evin then it was an off roader so i didnt want to spind a bunch of cash not knowing just what I could do anny more. So I got this bike as a "get back in to it bike" and I must say that it preforms beter than what the price would make u think. It is fast nimble light stylish, people allways commint on just how nice this bike looks, and the overall fealing I get is that I didnt pay enuff for it. So if your looking for mager bang for your buck get the Prelude and it wont let you down.

Good entry level bike.

March 7, 2011

If you're just starting out this is probably the best way to go. You don't want to spend too much money on a pro-entry bike since you might fall and damage expensive parts. As in many bike's you'll change the seat and pedals to clipless pedals. The only one thing i would recommend is for Schwinn to add a quick release rear hub.

Toy Store Bike

February 17, 2011

This is not a REAL road bike. This is the type of bike they sell in the toy dept. in Walmart. It is only available in ONE frame size, which is crazy.... the components are all low grade. Do yourself a favor & go to your local bike shop, spend a couple hundred more bucks for a real entry level road bike, and it will be money well spent!
