Celebrate Bike Month With Schwinn

Drew Kries

Oh, it’s the most wonderful time of the year: Bike Month! The whole month of May is dedicated to the celebration of cycling, and there are lots of ways to participate. From taking a simple joyride to taking on a new challenge, Bike Month is a great way for novices, enthusiasts, and everyone in between to have a great time on two wheels.

Here’s how we’ll be celebrating Bike Month:

May 1

On the first day of bike month my true love gave to me, a bike lock with a spare key!

It’s here! It’s here! The beginning of Bike Month is full of excitement and joy. That’s why we advocate riding your favorite route. It could be around the block, through the park, on a trail, or anywhere else that strikes your fancy – just don’t forget your helmet! (Cycling carols not required…but thoroughly appreciated.)

Bike to School Day! The kiddos can get their wiggles out before class with a brisk morning bike ride. We think they’ll be ready to learn after this! Plus, it’s the perfect excuse to get to work a little late. Tell your boss that tardiness is approved by Schwinn.

Bike to Work Week! Get energized each day with a two-wheeled commute and you’ll be ready to crush that 10 a.m. meeting. Make sure to pack water and perhaps some donuts (to share of course). Live too far to commute? Pack your bike up and do a group ride with co-workers. Bike meeting, anyone? Now that’s productive!

Bike to Work Day! May we suggest an e-bike? Do give it a try. You can take advantage of the pedal assist and throttle for a no-sweat, de-stressed, find-your-Zen-again commute. Plus, you can go up to 20 mph and 45 miles on a single charge. Tip: Don’t forget to charge up before your ride home. Future you with thank you.

But of course, there’s no wrong way to celebrate Bike Month. As long as you have fun on your ride, your way, and at your pace, you’re doing it right.

See you out there! Now where’d we put that t-shirt cannon…
