Battery

First Time Charging

Use the included charging cable to connect the battery to a standard household outlet. Charging the battery fully will take 2 to 4 hours.

Regular Charging

You can charge the battery on and off the bike. Either way, all you need to do is to connect the battery to a standard household outlet with the included charger.

Note: It is not recommended to keep your battery plugged for long periods of time after it has reached full capacity.

What are the benefits of the upgraded batteries?

Upgrading to a larger capacity battery will allow you cover greater distances and/or ride for a longer period before needing to recharge.

Using the Lights

The Coston and Marshall include an integrated light, which are powered by the main battery, just like the motor. The Coston models have fully integrated head, tail and battery lights; while the Marshall model’s taillight is battery operated and must be turned on separately.

You can turn the lights on and off with a button on the handlebar controller. Press and hold the + button for 3 seconds to turn on just the headlight. Press again for headlight and battery light. Press a third time for battery light only. Press a fourth time to turn all the lights off.

Using the Motor

How to use pedal assist

Use the power button on the handlebar controller to activate the pedal assist. Use the “+” and “–“ buttons to select your level of pedal assist. We recommend starting on the lowest level of pedal assistance.

While riding, use the “+” button to increase the level of assist as desired, and use the “-“ to decrease. A higher level of assistance requires less pedaling effort. The motor will provide assistance up to 20 mph.

How to use the throttle

While riding, press the thumb throttle button to activate the motor without pedaling. You will be able to accelerate up to 20 mph.
